That's too bad... RIP

Pretty sad. Working with firefighters and having been a firefighter this is always hard to see.
-
Very sad. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and the firefighting community.

:yeah:

Sad, but I find it odd that they give no reason for the death, and say the name will not be released. Something fishy about this story.

I'd assume to say they would like to notify the family first before they hear it on the news? :dunno:

I am sure he or she was part of a shot crew and I know how those guys work. I am sure it will come back as heat stroke. Hydrate, hydrate hydrate. Even though the temps have been down some the humidity is still low and heat of the fire zaps the moisture right out of you. Fire I was on a month ago had I kinds of guys coming into medical for heat exhastion (sp)

Says he became ill...
Could be anything from smoke inhalation combined with over exhaustion, to he got into something he was highly allergic to...

One of the articles I read said that the FAMILY has said that the man's name will not be released.

The wenatchee world has a little more info that komo does about it. The firefighter that was killed was a tree faller working the klone fire in the entiat. It also said that he became ill, and was transported to a nearby hospital where they later died
