Title: A good weekend on the mountain
Post by: Alpinehunter on September 18, 2012, 06:18:31 PM: Well, another year on the high hunt and another year with no deer. Although our main goal was bucks it is always nice to experiance some sort of success in the high country.

You know its funny how when your exhausted while packing out a critter the only thing you can think about is getting back to your truck and getting home. And then when you get home the only thing you can think about is getting back up on the mountain.

After I shot my bear we were taking pictures and reliving the moment when my buddy looks up and says "theres another one!" Backcountry hunting is full of decisions and the decision to shoot that second bear was a terrible one. But what a fun day!
