I am looking a the fall turkey season and have found some differences between the big game regs and the small game regs. The big game regs have one season for north east (GMU 105-142) as sept 26- oct 9 for 2 beardless. However the small game regs has the the season as Sept. 22nd- Oct. 12th. Do I just have an old set of regs and one has been updated? Theyre both 2012 so I know they are this years. Which season is correct?
Thanks Everyone.

The have corrections to the books listed on the WDFW website and there are a few for fall turkey.
Page 69 (Added June 29) Under the Fall Northeast Beardless Turkey – The season dates for Fall Northeast Beardless Turkey season should be Sept. 22-Oct 12 (not Sept 26-Oct. 9).
Page 69 (Added June 29) Under the Early Fall, Either Sex, Sept. 22-Oct. 12 season – The list of GMUs should also include GMUs 124-142. So the entire list of GMUs should read GMUs 101, 124-142, 145-154, and 162-186.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. I guess I should download the new updates. I wish I would have noticed this last week as i was over in 139 this weekend and would have loved to do some hunting. Oh well.

I don't think many saw the corrections that were posted. It was awfully quiet in the turkey woods in 121 yesterday (other than the sounds of our shotguns)

I just figured no one else hunts fall turkey much (or else was too busy after deer, coho...). I had the place to myself.

gallion_t,
I wouldn't have found the corrections either, except I was checking to make sure I was legal this coming weekend only to find out I could have been out this past weekend. Live and learn.

Just as a future note that the small game regs come out in the spring (March I believe) before they actually have their meeting (May I believe) ,,, and it always seems that they "finalize" the seaon which comes out in the big game regs.
:dunno:
Almost caught me one year hunting before the true open date, but luckily I had called my friend (the local game warden) to let him know I was over and he set ne straight ... so I got to sit around for 2 days of "scouting" before I could hunt.
:yike:
Wish they would just put "TBD" in the spring phaphlet.
:twocents:
I have been know to hunt both early and late fall seasons, but this year busy at work and getting ready for an Indiana trip to see my grandson's wedding. Just not enough time ..... good luck !
