Title: First upland/Duck gun
Post by: Roo on September 28, 2012, 11:12:37 AM: So I am about to buy my first shotgun for bird and I trying to decide between the supernova and Mossberg 835. Could use some help. Does anyone have some opinions on the two?

For the uplands however, be aware of the weight. 7-8 lbs doesn't sound like a lot but it can feel like a ton after lugging it around for hours.

Post by: CamoDup on September 30, 2012, 06:03:51 PM: Mossberg! Hands down for me. My 835 was a bday present from my dad when I was 12. I still have it and it is the only shotgun I own. I'm 25 now. I have NEVER had any problems with it. It has killed many, many birds. my good buddy has a nova and hates it. To each their own though. :twocents:

Good point, the WingMaster is a great gun...and lighter.
