Getting ready to handload for a new 25-06.. What powder, brass, primer, bullet is your go to hunting load?
Thanks

Federal primers or cci. I always run the mags in any of my rifles 25 and bigger. Brass does not matter much. I like winchester a little more. Nosler is the best. Stuff some accubonds in that killing machine and watch her eat!!!!

I've always used IMR 4831 and the 117 or 120 grain bullet. Don't know off-hand how many grains of powder but it is from an older reloading book and I'm near the top end for powder. I can hit a dinner plate at 500 yards with it.
Last time I took it to the range, I put 3 rounds in the same hole at 100 yards and figured that was good enough but I need to go back now and check it because I recently installed a Timney trigger and set it to 3 lbs. I bought the Rem 700 classic the first year they came out in that caliber.

I've been using Nosler 100gr Ballistic Tip over 57 gr. RL22, CCI primer and Winchester brass. It is good for under one MOA at 100 and consistent solid hits on a 7"x12" steel target at 600 yards.
It's an old Ruger M77 tang safety Varmint rifle, Bicentennial model rifle but still shoots pretty good.

Alliant Reloder 22 Powder, Remington Brass, Winchester LR primers, and Berger 115 Hunting VLD Bullets.
