Anyone else having a hard time concentrating on ANYTHING BUT OPENING WEEKEND?!?!?!? packed and repacked my gear about 12 times. I always HATE the week before opening day. NOTHING gets done!
-
Just went through my stuff a few times.... Almost all packed.... I can't leave till tomorrow for elk season and maybe some deer if we stay for modern... We'll see.... My Dad's work schedule is screwing him..... I quit working Monday except on hunting gear... Pretty excited to get out for a week or two..... But yet again the wife doesn't seem so happy to be left alone with our two brats again... :dunno:

Antsy....?
Ya...to say the least.

Just cleaned and oiled up all the long guns lastnight...The air was crisp, the leaves are turning and my skin is twitching in anticipation. Fall is my favorite season.

Checking zero on both guns today. Cleaning and repacking hunt boxes. Trailer bearings packed, Suburban gassed.....waiting until next Friday to leave.....frustrating.

I'll be at a soccer tournament. Girls come first.

Antsy has nothing on my nerves! This is my first hunt in Washington since 1980, and my last with my father. He's in bad shape and we got nowhere to take him that will have more than a snowflakes chance in hell of getting him a shot, but we're going and that's that, I can't friggin wait! My daughter is going also, she's the only other family member I got that likes hunting and shooting L)
Good luck and much skill guys and gals!

Not much getting done here at work. What are we going to do at night now? Usually we sit around the camp fire and have a few brews. This year is going to be my brothers first year going and he isn't going to get the true hunting experience. Well hopefully the burn ban is lifted by Elk opening.

A week from now...alot of us wont be sleeping much.
