Title: crossing train track

what this that i have been hearing  that  around burbank  you cant cross the train tack to go hunt anymore. is this true ?

I believe that unless you have permision or there is a marked public crossing, you are trespassing.  Railroad right of ways are private property.  i believe you will see signs at the public crossings saying that it is private property.

It has always been illegal for the general public to cross RR tracks unless at a public crossing.  Hunting around RR tracks is a bad idea and was it last year a duck hunter was killed around the Patterson area walking on the tracks?

Burbank is posted heavily now.  Cut off a lot of walk in areas on the Pen.  Pretty hefty fine if caught and have word that there is increased eyes watching hunters out there.

I used to work in a rail yard and if they are switching or humping cars they can come up on you quieter than a cat on asphalt.

Then again if you have your earbuds in listning to tune while you hike in.
