what this that i have been hearing that around burbank you cant cross the train tack to go hunt anymore. is this true ?

I believe that unless you have permision or there is a marked public crossing, you are trespassing. Railroad right of ways are private property. i believe you will see signs at the public crossings saying that it is private property.

It has always been illegal for the general public to cross RR tracks unless at a public crossing. Hunting around RR tracks is a bad idea and was it last year a duck hunter was killed around the Patterson area walking on the tracks?

Burbank is posted heavily now. Cut off a lot of walk in areas on the Pen. Pretty hefty fine if caught and have word that there is increased eyes watching hunters out there.

i really gotta wonder how dumb or inattentive you'd have to be to get hit by a train...

Sure happens a lot though.

I used to work in a rail yard and if they are switching or humping cars they can come up on you quieter than a cat on asphalt.
Then again if you have your earbuds in listning to tune while you hike in.
