Are we going to have a modern firearm opening day this weekend on the westside? I sure hope so, but with weyco land still shut down im not sure we will have access to their lands? What do you guys think? I know the typical state land areas will be even more packed now :bash: We need rain and a lot of it!

State land is also closed. a friend of mine who logs out of Vail said that unless we get a couple of inches of rain Vail will be totally shut down to even walk in. All of Weyco land, even on the coast is off limits. Weather reporst make it seem that the second week of season might be a go.

So far I believe Nat'l Forest is the only thing open, but no campfires. Or did they shut it down completely as well? :dunno: Was planning on opening day in the Gifford Pinchot somewhere, but if it's closed too then looks like I'll have other plans next weekend. Just saw the weather report and they're forecasting rain Friday and Sat. We'll all just have to wait and pray!

Where do i look to see if state land is closed...not sure what website to look for....it sounds like.were all screwed with state land and all the private timber closed

I was up in the Gifford Pinchot Saturday and everything was open that we traveled 85,47,52,23,22,21. Just stay away from the the fires. The areas are marked.

I was out around Minot Peak yesterday morning to check things out and the roads up there are all posted
Closed to all public access do to Extreme Fire Danger. There is no way they are opening up anything until later in the month. :( Oh well late buck is where it's at anyways.

Not sure of State Land, but here's the Okanogan National Forest page that lists all closures/restrictions: http://www.fs.usda.gov/okawen (http://www.fs.usda.gov/okawen)
