Title: How close can I get?
Post by: DoubleJ on October 07, 2012, 07:03:40 PM: Ended up getting 3 yards before he had enough and walked about 10 yards away.

All the same deer. There was a yearling spike with him too but as soon as I got within 20 yards, he was gone

Post by: nwwanderer on October 08, 2012, 12:57:36 PM: Three yards? Even with some wet side brush between you and the blacktail, his front foot could knock your nose clean off your face before you could say oh sh--. You never know which way they wil react at close quarters.
