Title: Training a dog to hunt sheds

I am looking to get into shed hunting, and have for a while.  I have heard many people talk about training pups, but what about older dogs?  Is it like birds, where early exposure is key to success.  Thanks in advance.

I know a couple of guys that trained 2 year old dogs as shed dogs.  One was not even a hunting dog.

That said, I am getting ready to work on a 18 month old GWP I rescued to find sheds.... 

Go online and google shed hunting dogs...  will really give you a lot of info.
