That really was quick!

Hope you get it out of the box and find that everything is good to go... get it cleaned up and push a few bullets down range...

If'n you ever get over this way bring it with you and we will run out to the farm and break a few birds...

That would be awesome, Sabot!

Well, I got the crappy scope mounted. Its just for working up a load since I cant hunt with it for ML.

It pulls up pretty good for me. I have to bury my cheek up pretty tight to get the sights in line but I think thats a good thing.

Out of the box, with my digital bow scale (accuracy this low is a lil questionable) the trigger pull is 5.6#s.
I pulled everything apart. The breech plug is nicely greased. Everything is actually.
Stock seems to fit tight. I may bed it at some point, just for fun.

I Rem Oiled the trigger assy and worked it a bunch. Pull improved to 3.7# but seemed to drift back to almost 4#s. It's good for now.

Ran a patch down the barrel. just a bit of oil. Also looks good.

So far my only complaint is that the stock casting has a number of sharp edges. Cant do anything about it without messing up the camo. Just sloppy quality. I'm sure Knight does not make these stocks. They should chew some azz on their supplier. I bet the wood stock is much smoother. At least I would hope so.

More to come.(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1053.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fs464%2Fbjsane%2Fphotobucket-19419-1350150072288.jpg&hash=9734f92d32daeaf05960180d0bfba24a418f0c5f)(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi1053.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fs464%2Fbjsane%2Fphotobucket-3704-1350149838650.jpg&hash=7d6bc0a85114e64b8cf3369a85d9609fb499864e)

The stocks are made by Bell and Carlson and they do come with some sharp edges... I did take some sand paper to mine and sanded the edges a bit to round them off.  If you do it carefully it has very little effect on te camo.

The trigger is no big deal, you can adjust it to what ever you like.  I think Knight sends them out at 4#'s for liabilty sake.  See if you can find some Birchwood-Casey Moly Lube to spray in on the trigger assembly - good stuff.

Pop some caps and make sure that the hammer reaches the nipple... make sure the secondary safety on the back of the bolt is backed all the way out... Also a little percaution... do not dryfire the gun.  The small round hammer is really tough on the head of the nipple.  Let the hammer down by pulling the trigger then lowering the bolt handle in place.

One other little learning point.... remove the bolt from the action... flip it over upside down and look at alignment of the two guide surfaces on the bolt housing and the hammer assembly... when putting the hammer back in the bolt these two surfaces must align.... But more importantly the hammer assembly need to be screwed in as far as possible then back out to the point that these two surfaces align.

Screw the secondary safety in as far as it will go... you will feel it stop... turn the hammer assembly out counter clockwise... then turn it back in - all the way till it stops... then back counter clock wise until those guide surfaces align.  Then holding everything in place.... turn the secondary screw back out....

And then may you already know all of this...

Mine looks just like that.  The trigger is identical to a timney, mine is adjusted down to a crisp 2lbs.  Takes about 5 shots for mine to settle down accuracy wise.  First shot from a clean barrel is about 2' low, then it progressively rises and then settles down.

I have to agree about the stock. When mine came from the factory, there were spots in the checkering that are white. Apparently the camo dip didn't adhere very well. :dunno:
