My brother and I were camped at the pioneer park in Dayton last night and woke up this morning to find that our coolers had been stolen from the back of our truck! There's nothing that can be done about it but I felt that I had reason to vent about it. I'm sure that they ran out of beer and figured they would just take mine, well the jokes on them because we don't drink beer! I hope these a-holes Enjoyed my water bottles, off brand diet soda, and peanut butter and jelly! It's people like this that give sportsmen a bad name, and make it harder for the rest of us to get access to private property. Also these idiots didn't even notice my spotting scope that I had forgotten in the bed of the truck. Oh we'll at least they didn't take the deer that was in there, that would have ruined hunting for my nephew for ever, and i am sure karma will come back around.

:bash: :bash: Man I am sorry to hear that!
-
Man that really sucks. I am always paranoid about this. It's amazing how people will turn when they are away from eyes to keep them honest.
-
Tough break, sorry to hear of anyone getting ripped off by low-lifes. So many people have lost their sense of personal integrity. I hope that if I catch someone in the act of ripping me off they won't be too surprised that for the times it takes to meet out justice to them, when I have a pause in my personal integrity. :violent1:

Probably under age kids wanting to party, not steal your gear.

That's *censored*! Good luck to the rest of your season!!

Mjones...please keep it clean BS is acceptable on this site.
I agree having something stolen BS. Glad you other stuff was still there.
-
On the positive side im glad they didnt swipe your spotter.
-
I bet it was underage kids as stated. That stinks. I hope your nephew had a great time regardless.
-
:mgun: nuff said sorry to hear.
-
We were warned when staying at a State park a couple years ago to not leave our cooler out as kids were swiping them hoping for beers. Seems easier to look inside and just grab the six pack or box in there than take the whole cooler though. Glad to hear they left the rest of your stuff.

Then how are they going to keep them cold??? :chuckle: :dunno:

That SUCKS!!

I have had this happen before, and found that several other camps were visited by the thieves the same night. Based on what they targeted they were probably drunk teens. I still leave a crummy cooler in the bed of my truck, but know that it is likely to be stolen some day.

You're taking this extremely better than I would've, because that's usually all I take for food and refreshments so I'd be starving. Glad it was just the coolers and nothing else. :bash:

That sucks, that is a fairly high traffic place especially for where it is.
-
Unfortunately there is a methhead presence in Dayton, probably them.
-
Worst part is, they probably just tossed everything in the bushes. Just like a typical thief when they realize there is nothing notable in whatever they steal. Ruining habitat and making the whole situation just useless for them, and aggravating for us normal people. :bash:
-
Sounds like it's time to take a dump in a cooler and leave it out for them.

Or some warm rocks and rattlesnakes....that you have been collecting for skins..... :yike:

:yeah: Anyone want to donate me a cooler, I know right where to leave it and I will even write "BEER" on the side of it. :chuckle:
-
I got one!! Will even fill it with beer bottles filled with urine :chuckle:
-
great plan, I will be driving right by Pioneer park friday night. :chuckle: Just warn people there not to pick up "the cooler" :chuckle:

Man that's just BS ..What a guy needs to do is bring a trail cam on your hunting trip or for that matter with you know matter where ya go ...set it up along side the rig somewhere and start catching these little beaches ...Yeah I think that's what I am going to do for now on ..I had the gas siphoned out of my truck while fishing a month ago ...Can not leave your rig anywhere these days :bash: :bash: >:(

:yeah: :yeah: my thoughts exactly, be nice to catch them and break a couple of their digits though...

Getting ripped off sucks, but My nephew did shoot his first deer. And regardless of what these low life's stole from us. We still had a great trip that will provide hunting stories for a Long time. And it gave me yet another reason to hunt archery every single year, and for every animal

:chuckle: :chuckle:Maybe a sasquatch stole your cooler! :o Explains why nothing else was stolen! :chuckle: :chuckle:
