Well the season is here and gone. Went out with my dad and had a slow start. We glassed all day and all we could turn up were does. We went into a basin and glassed while we ate lunch and then figured we would hunt a series of rim rocks on our way out. Finally got to the edge of the first set and peeked over. This exact spot a few years ago we watched a big 2-point bed with his back against the rocks which cool. As we were peeking over we were talking about that buck when all of a sudden 2 big bucks jumped out of their bed and stared up at us. I took aim and hit the first buck hard. Not a split second later my dad also shot the buck. The other buck ran to the bottom and I told him I had know I hit the first buck hard and shoot the other one when it comes up. We waited about 5 minutes and I spotted the buck coming thru the timber. 3 shots later my dad filled his tag! Went from a dismal first half of the day to one of the best days I have had in the field. Nobody better to spend it with than my dad! Here are a few pics!

Thanks for the compliments guys! And yes the pics are of the same buck! About the other buck...Well as my dad shot it, the buck turned and ran down an avalanche chute. It ran full speed into a pine tree and broke one side of the horns off. It was a crazy deal, The horn was laying right next to the buck with a big chunk of skull still attached! The buck was piled up pretty much doing a headstand at the base of the tree! The pics look nasty but it is a 22-23 inch 4 point. My buck is a 27 inch 3 point. Thanks again guys! Good luck to those still with tags!
