There are four sub species on moose in North America. The western United States including Washington have Shiras moose, which are the smallest. Maine has Eastern moose, which are the second smallest. Western are the second largest, and Alaska/Yukon are the largest.
The moose in the picture looks awfully large to be an Eastern moose. It is confirmed as being from Maine?

The information that I got said that it was killed in Maine, "Zone 4" to be exact. But I have no way to confirm that's actually where it is from.
-
No matter where it was killed that is a dandy bull :IBCOOL:

I've been right next to them that big in Maine. They can be 1200 lbs

It is a big animal for sure but a short bed pickup can help "longarm" them a little to. :twocents:
