Was wondering if anyone knew how busy it gets up oak creek rd during elk modern rifle season.

busy, sea of blaze orange everywhere just like any where else.

yep like they said ALOT of road hunters. If you hike aways you can escape people. Was up there last saturday not 1 other person but there were 2 spikes in the canyon I was in

My dad quit hunting there 20 years ago because it had become too crowded THEN. 

I can't imagine what it's like, never seen it.  I hate crowds.  So I love hiking.

If its to busy at oak crk you might go and try the colockum area. Might be less people there? :dunno:

I was in the bethel today what area did you happen to be in?  I was up around devils table and then dropped down around to 1400rd?  I will neither confirm or deny the presence of elk in there!LOL :chuckle:

sorry for the delay but as of yesterday evening i'd say they were very do-able?!?!?  I've been testing the limits of my new tires and so far they've had no problems tearing up the hills as of late whether, mud, rocks, dirt, rain and snow.  good luck and keep us posted. :tup:
