Title: Unit 204 Failure
Post by: weber240 on October 18, 2012, 08:11:58 PM
Anyone else have luck in this unit?  I've got a 40ac parcel north of Wauconda and from the opener to Wednesday I was unable to locate any game......not even a doe.  Im used to hunting north of Winthrop area and usually see plenty of animals.  I got off my property after opening day and headed out from there on some logging roads off Toroda Creek away from private lands and still ended up with no game in sight.  Did anyone else fair any better than I?  Would love to privately chat with someone who could point me in the right direction over in unit 204.  Have hunted a few years over there absolutely blind.  My neighbor on the property next to mine tagged out with a 4x4 muley along with his buddy yielding the same point buck as well out of the Mt. Anne or (Annie?) Area?  Maybe I should venture there but am concerned with the possibility of crowds.  Not a stranger to hiking as I did put some miles under my boots but no sign found at all......it was discouraging.  Any advice to lead me in the right direction would be appreciated!  Thanks guys!
