Title: looking for a unit to hunt in for general season
Post by: zackmioli on August 29, 2008, 07:42:50 AM: I did not get drawn for my cow tag so im looking for a unit on the west side to go do a bit of scouting in and maybe go out for a few days during the general season. I plan on taking a buddy of mine that is interested in hunting so I wanna show him the ropes a bit, I was wondering if you guys could give me some suggestions on a good unit to start in. Just wanting to get out in the woods and see if I can find anything.

I dont really want to drive all the way down to Yacolt. Trying to stay within an hour or so of Tacoma. Any suggestions?

Post by: 12Gauge on August 30, 2008, 09:23:03 AM: The area closest to you would be unit 653 east of Enumclaw on hwy 410, you can try FR 73. Double check your maps.

The next closest probably be St Helens or the Olympics
