So lets say you have found a black tail that is of nice size last year and now even bigger this year :yike:!!
He must stay in roughly the same area , that is some what thick only a few trais in / out of this area.
What is the best strategy for him??? If I go in now and hang a tree stand will he split? Ground blind?
Scent and sit?
Ill be putting up the trail cam soon, hope to get picts at the least.
Thanks for the input.

Blacktail doe estrus and sit and wait ....or show me and ill tell u what works the best :chuckle:

Patience Grasshopper. Get comfortable and wait him out. They don't get big by being stupid.

Sit and wait him out. Make him play your game by being a challenger buck - rub an antler on a tree after getting set up with scent sticks of doe and maybe buck. :twocents:

The neighbor's across the island had four bucks in their yard yesterday taking turns sparring with each other. A bit of rattling might work as well.

Thanks for the input , all these have came to mind. Eli, yes , they are big for a reason and fully aware of their environment , smells, movement, and cautious as hell.
We'll see....
