Title: Potholes water conditions
Post by: Carp Commander on October 21, 2012, 06:24:31 PM
I was at the Potholes this morning duck hunting. The current water level or lack thereof, was something I had never seen before. I have searched and searched for an online resource that provides current water levels for the Potholes but can't find one. Does anyone know if it exists? I do not want to make the trip again until the water level comes back up.

Don't know if there's anything official with the Columbia Basic water people or etc. but as far as I know from years past, Mar Don Resort is always friendly and helpful on the phone...

That water level wont be up until it snows, rains, freezes and then thaws out this coming spring.  If it is this dry again next spring and summer, you can expect a similar water level.  Potholes is used for irrigation so no rain means there is an increase in the demand for the water held there.
