Title: Has anyone had luck on Whidbey hunting public land?
Post by: Evoac05 on October 27, 2012, 07:45:03 PM: I am debating on if I should go back to the same place that I was at today where I spotted 3 doe (any buck area) or if I should try my luck on Whidbey since it's an any deer GMU. I know of a few of the public areas on whidbey, but im not sure where I'll have better luck. I am just looking for my first deer (this is my 3rd season). What would you do?

Island public land is tough sometimes. The majority of the deer go where it's safest and that's in and around housing community's and where hunting isn't aloud. Them blacktail are crafty critters.
