Title: Finally put the fly rod away
Post by: Naches Sportsman on October 28, 2012, 10:24:32 PM
Well as the rain moves in and the rivers are rising, the great season of 2012 comes to a close :'(. Made out on the naches one last time before the rain came to raise the river. Fished some new wilderness creeks and did a lot of bush wacking. All in all it was a great season hooking a steelie  for the first time on the naches this year and catching a 22" bull trout. Time to focus on chukar hunting  .

I haven't decided if I should retire my fly rod  quite yet.

Caught my first brown on a fly today  :) along with a few others and some rainbows. Egg with a strike indicator worked real well. Sure wish we had a steelhead run here though!!!!
I say keep it out.
