well if anyone is interested and wants to ride along they are more then welcome. i can go both the 8th and 9th...day trips or camp for the night.

I have one elk hunting buddy and we're 80%locked in (meaning, there's 20% chance he'll crap out on me). Sounds lame, but he has four kids and runs his dads business, so I cut him some slack. We're looking to hunt the northeast units and probably stay for at least 3 or 4 days. PM me if you can pitch in a fair share for gas and are interested.

I hunt with trad equipment, it takes that long to get close enough to an elk. :archer:

lmfao yeah that why i got rid of my blackwidow and just stuck with a compound.
although both elk i have shot i called well within spitting distance.

I was only joking about the length of time it takes. I lost the training wheels for good 6 years ago and will never go back, I just like trad better and an arrow is still an arrow no matter how it gets there. I have close to 30 recurves and 2 compounds (I just sold a couple on E-Bay) I payed $600.00+ on my compounds new and they sold for less than half, my recurves go up in value (I will sell them when I am dead) and look awesome with the beautiful woods that they are made out of. I have my own 3-D course in my back yard and practise with whatever bow I feel like that day. I got 5 friends been up there since the 27th aug. and 2 more gonna be there ??? we have a good time. all trad and someone usually gets one, some times more. Usally elk because the deer up there are kinda thin but you never know......

i know a few guys who stay up there the entire modern firearm deer and elk season...never leaving for anything.
