Title: hunting coyotes with a spotlight
Post by: jackmaster on October 30, 2012, 11:44:36 AM: i want to go out next saturday late at night just to listen for any vocals that blacktail might make at night, where i have been hunting for deer is just loaded with coyote and cougar crap, so i was thinkn i should bring a gun along incase i run into a big cat or a yote, but i damn sure aint gonna do it if it isnt legal, any help would be great... thanks in advance, oh yeah i will have a spotlight with me.....and i would be in the mashel unit which i beleive is open for rifle elk that weekend as well..

Copied from pg 68 of the hunting regs:

Coyote may be hunted at night
year round, EXCEPT it is unlawful
to hunt coyote at night during the
months of September, October,
or November in any area open to a
centerfire rifle deer or elk season
