Title: Anyone with exp with gnarly old H-D IRONHEADS? specifically clucthes

 going thru my old sportster. on the primary side where clutch cable and screw enters primary cover, i cant get rod to thread thru into the case.  new rod? or should i have the case welded and re tapped?  i dunno.. even thought bout jb weld. that and any cure for the chintzy clutch arm hook up?
