In Germany they are called a Perückenbock. (Buck with a perm) You can eat the meat because there is nothing wrong with it. A gene could be a recessive gene carried by the mother and only expressed through its male offspring which is infertile. Since the mother could be a carrier of this particular genetic mutation it would be passed to its female off spring and expressed only through male offspring.
