HOPE ITS NOT PARVO..... BAD STUFF. I LOST A GSP PUP TO PARVO
-
She is up on all her shots. Just very sudden.
-
Sounds like parvo. How old is she?
-
4 this month

HOPE THE PUPS GETS BETTER. MY PUP GOT PARVO, AND SHE WAS UP TO DATE ON SHOTS. :dunno: SHE WAS 4 MONTHS TOO.
-
doesn't sound like traditional parvo to me. usually the blood would be coming out the opposite end. maybe it ate something sharp :dunno:
good on you for going straight to the vet. prayers and positive thoughts to you and your pup for a swift and inexpensive recovery.

■Lethargic. If your dog normally likes to play and has high energy, this is the clearest sign that something is wrong. You could say they act depressed.
■Lack of Appetite. The more common strains attack the digestive system.
■Vomiting with no change in diet. It usually looks clear and foamy.
■Bloody Diarrhea.
■Stronger Feces Odor. It’s unmistakable and you will never forget it.

Olive is back at home worn out from not eating or drinking. The vomiting and diarrhea has taken a toll on her. Doc says a bug. Antibiotics and some nausea meds. Hope she gets to be herself this weekend. Thanks everybody!!

Glad you got her home and the vet feels it wasn't parvo. My lab got it when she was about 4 months. Worst week of our lives. She was a fighter and pulled through it. The vet said she got her final vaccination the hard way :'( Some a-hole living in the same apartment complex had a dog die of it the week before and didn't bother to tell anyone. Claimed he didn't know what happened, she just died one night. >:( Having sick pups is very hard and you feel like a terrible parent for letting something that is so dependent on you get that sick.
