Title: Columbian Whitetail deer..
Post by: Mark B on November 11, 2012, 06:28:40 PM
Have any of you ever seen one in the wild?? I had a hunting partner of mine hunting around the Woodland area today and swears up and down he saw one.. Long main beams with all points coming off of them.. When it ran away from him he said its tail was a good foot long, puffy and white waving back at em (Just like on tv) in his words.. I know there are SMALL populations in Oregon and over on the Washington coast, but have never heard of any around here.. I mean, stranger things can happen right???

There are a few on Puget Island on the Columbia.  I have also seen them just out of Chinook and at my friends place in Naselle.  I saw one up the Hump many many years ago.
