Title: Stressed!!!
Post by: clindsayrun on November 14, 2012, 05:51:22 PM
Changing out cards in the camera today I ran into a late modern tag holder who was on his way to set up camp about 1/4 mile from where I head in off the road to the stand I thought I'd committed to. He'll be camping out of his truck and hunting for the next five days... I'm totally stressing out! He said he wouldn't go to my stand, but I know he'll be all over the area. In two years I've never seen another hunter up there, let along camping for a week... I'm almost sick over it. He drew a good tag and I wished him luck, but I'm still stressing.

I've had some good bucks on the camera... what are the odds they'll still come around on the 21st? Should I stay out of the area after his season ends on the 20th and give it a couple days to calm down?
He seemed like a good guy so I trust he won't purposely follow my tracks or look for my stand, but has anyone had someone hunt their setup before?

I'll tell ya what brotha, i'll take the next three days off and post up in your area to scare him away.. that sucks dude, but there's some damn good ones on those cameras so even if he gets one of them, think of all the rest,

It happens. Be thankful it's been quiet for you the past few years. If he is in there hunting hard he could push them out. It kinda depends on how he hunts. I would not call it quits yet.
