I recently was transferred to FT Lewis from Fort Knox Kentucky. In Kentucky a child under the age of 12 did not need a hunters safety to buy a hunting license as long as they were with a hunter over the age of 18, with a hunters safety and who was not hunting. I read the rules for Washington and it states anyone born after 1972 needs one, but over the age of 12. So does she need a hunters safety? If anyone can help clarify this that would be great. My youngest daughter is 10 right now and wants to hunt next season.
Thanks in advance

You can apply for a one year deferment on HS, but it would be good just to get her in and get it done.
