Ok last night after work I went out to Meadowbrook farm in North Bend because I just had to see some elk. The last couple of weeks the elk had been suspiciously absent except for a small group of about twelves cows. I only saw about thirty or so elk and was watching a 2 by 2 when I started hearing a bunch of clanking off to my left. Two nice bulls were engaged in combat which went on for several minutes. The loser wandered off and I couldn't make out the rack on the winner but he looked big. I heard several bugles while I was there and saw the winner bull chasing around the cows. When the winner got closer I thought I was able to make out a whale tale so I think he was a 6 by. I ended up turning on my truck and headlighting him when I went to leave and that pissed him off. He started raking the ground with his antlers and was hurling grass all over the place and snorting at me. I moved off before he planted his rack into my truck. It was pretty neat to see.
