Field hunting for Mallards and Snows Yesterday It was a pretty slow morning with only 2 Mallards untill about 10:30 when 1 flock of Snows came into our decoys. Only 2 of them stayed behind but as the one I shot was falling it didn't look quite right. My second snow goose band:

They were also banding them near Larivicks (sp) farm early this season. Don't know how many they banded but they were running around banding before they opened all the quality hunt spots!

The Last Banded snow Goose I shot was Banded on Wrangle Island Russia, Conway seems kinda boring :chuckle:

Cool! When I was in college in the 80's, I worked for the ecology department at UW Madison making those collars for banding geese all across the country and in Canada. I got a couple of really cool letters from people forwarded to me that had harvested birds with bands I made.
