Title: Senator Morton To Retire
Post by: bearpaw on November 29, 2012, 11:15:39 AM
Although I am not a personal friend of Senator Morton I still feel like I know the man. I have written him many times over the years regarding a multitude of issues and in every case I can remember I would get back a letter with his positive comments. He has tirelessly supported rural residents, landowners, farmers, ranchers, small business, gun owners, and sports men and women. Due to comments from other legislators I knew Bob was getting close to retiring but it's still tough to imagine not having him in our corner in Olympia.

Watching him fly his airplane off the lake (which was a point of contention with other lake property owners  :chuckle: )

He's done a lot more for sportsmen and cattleman over the years than he'll ever get credit for.

From planting miniature fish hatching buckets along the streams to fighting the current wolf plans - he's done a lot for the 7Th

VERY disappointed to hear that! I've done most of my deer hunting in his neighborhood in the last 20 years. Lives on Pierre lake Rd eh? Hope you've got someone similar to run, and not end up with a "coastie" transplant!
