I'm looking for a partner to share a pheasant hunting trip to North Dakota in late December. I would probably leave on December 26. It's a 1.5 - 2 day drive, about 1300 miles, to my preferred area in central ND and I would want about 7 days of hunting to justify the long round trip drive. My trip would be conditioned on: 1) a reasonably good weather forecast; 2) lodging availability (I know of 2 or 3 options in my preferred area); and, 3) a partner to share expenses, driving, etc.
We would be cooking many of our meals and ideally would have lodging that gives us each our own bedroom. All expenses to be shared.
Background information on me: I am 63 years old, healthy, a non-smoker, but like to have an evening cocktail after the hunt. I have a yellow Lab who is a pretty good pheasant hunting dog. I have traveled to North Dakota for upland birds every year since the early '90's and know where to find pheasants. I've been to ND twice this year. Looking for someone who would be compatible -- a good traveling and hunting companion.
I have a Toyota Tacoma crew cab 4WD truck that can handle 2 guys and 2 or 3 dogs, but am open to someone else putting the miles on their rig. 4WD a must this time of year.
