All, I inherited from my dad a custom made rifle in. 243 Cal. The barrel is stamped "Santa Barbara .243". It was put together around 1970. Does anyone know anything about this barrel? The stock is custom so they must have bought the barrel and action. What action would this be? Thanks for any insight. (I have done some internet research) Maybe the opinion of a gunsmith or gun builder.

Quite a bit of info comes up if you Google "Santa Barbara rifle."
Apparently they were made in Birmingham, England, and it's a Mauser action.
