The last man charged in the hunts, Aniceto Garcia Vega, 33, is a Mexican citizen believed to have been in the U.S. illegally at the time, according to court documents. He’s wanted on a warrant charging him with identical hunting offenses, plus one count of unlicensed alien in possession of a firearm.

In addition to his jail term, during which he’s eligible for work release, Alvarez must pay $2,950 in fines.

This clown needs to back where he came from, that wold be cheaper than housing him in jail, plus he will never pay his fine.  :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

The punishments are a little light IMO. I do have to say I was expecting to see the name of a well known chelan poacher again! Glad they caught these guys!!

This is one reason why people have racial bias towards hispanics. Fill up our jails so we can pay for it. Many US citizens don't have a problem with hispanics, as long as they come make an honest dollar, pay taxes, abide by the law, and don't have 8 kids living off welfare and destroying our healthcare system. Plenty of useless Americans are already doing that.

What ever happened to being thankful for what you have, where you live, human rights, etc?

Everyone wants to take short cuts these days. Cheat, sneak, lie, steal, poach, etc. Perhaps I am bitter, because I paid $72,000 in taxes last year to support peices of crap like this. Just POACH THEM BACK! and be done with it. Or send them back to where they came from.

Don't know about the poaching, but it seems like those people living in those orchards go through a lot of dogs.  There have been at least 3 different sets of dogs there in the last 2 years.  They must have gotten tired of dog meat!

I am not against illegal alien bashing or bashing poachers.  But, maybe we should focus a little more anger on the person who organized the hunt.

"The hunts were organized by Eric Y. Barrera, 23, on and around Swakane Canyon orchard property owned by Barrera’s family. Washington’s deer seasons run between September and December, but the defendants were accused of shooting deer as they foraged near the orchard."

Happens more than you think.  Landowners illegally kill wildlife around there property.   We have way to many land owners who live in prime wildlife country who feel that no wildlife should be on there property.
