Title: TC maxi ball mould
Post by: Smokepole54 on December 08, 2012, 07:12:26 AM: anybody out there useing that mould and how is it shooting I am trying to find one in 54 cal not haveing much luck were is a good place to look for moulds.

Post by: Jeeper on December 08, 2012, 08:23:16 AM: Ebay has them all the time. Put 'maxi ball mould' in your saved searches and you will get several per week. 54's once or twice a week. Some NIB. Prices are getting pretty steep. $35 to $50 !!!

Post by: Jeeper on December 08, 2012, 08:28:15 AM: Better yet, get a Lyman #548657 .54 Caliber 450 Grain Plains Bullet mold. (Midway $64) I have both weights of the .54 Maxi ball molds and the Lyman is more accurate. More lead in contact with the lands.
