I am a new hunter. I want to start getting into big game hunting. I've wanted to know if anyone would be willing to share any information or tips for hunting deer. I would be hunting in western Washington. I am just really trying to start hunting. Friends at school have told me many hunting stories and I just want to expirience hunting. I have never hunted before.

lots of info on here, i assume you are talking about next year , which gives you lots of time to practice and scout areas you would like to hunt.

Just get out in the woods as often as you can... Look for sign. you will learn a lot just being out there. scouting is key!

1st thing is get a bow ...2nd thing is to practice with that bow until you feel comfortable with it and can hit accurately at certain distances ... just starting out I would not practice much over 30 to 40 yrds ...then you are ready to start hunting ...Blacktail are tough to hunt with a firearm or bow ..spend alot of time in the woods and learn from your mistakes ... the more time in the woods the better hunter you will become .

There you go, first step. Bow hunting can be very rewarding. Begin learning, get the card, and stick something next year.
