I am relatively new to Washington state and have been residing here since Jan 2011. I recently won the raffle sponsored by the Columbia Plateau Wildlife Council; it will allow me to hunt a Bull elk in January. I am not very familiar with the area and wondering if anyone would be willing to give me some advice on how to make this a very productive hunt. I have been elk hunting only once prior (in Colorado).
Thanks

Since its all private property, you can only get permission to be on the property during your season. I have one of the cow permits from January 1-15, so I tried to get access to scout this month and I was denied because there are other guys still hunting there. I haven't gotten my permit from the state or my access permit from CPWMA, so I'm starting to get a little nervous.
