ive learned a ton.ive learned that next year i need to put alot more scouting time in for elk.ive learned that turkey are more elusive than i ever realized, same with bear.ive learned that i may need to pick up a tree stand if i want a shot at a big whitetail n i may possibly stick to huntin mule deer.mostly i have become confident in my bow and accessories and my abilities as far as shooting it.i am really excited for 3d season to start and to start playin with my set up some more n i feel i have an advantage come next season n will be holding out for bigger animals n enjoyin more time in the woods

In the same spot MLBowhunting. It was my first year ever hunting. Choosing to bow hunt I knew would be tougher but thoroughly enjoy it. Might pick up a bear tag next year though. Had 2 growl at me this year. What an incredible experience to be out in the woods and enjoy this wonderful country the good Lord gave us. Next year will be different I hope. Ate all my tags including my small game tag but that is okay. Learned a lot and the money went to conservation.
Better luck next year. If you see me out there come on by and say hi. Drive a red Toyota Corolla.

Bowhunting is great for teaching humility... stick with it, there's nothing like it.

Killed many animals with a rifle including my buck this year (only because i paid for the multi tag) and I enjoyed archery hunting with my bow this year more than any riffle hunt. The wierd thing is I only had a couple days to hunt and I missed my elk. The feeling you get when stalking on an animal with a bow in hand having the animal 70 yards away knowing you need to shave more distance is something you wont get with a gun in your hands. :twocents:
