Saw several of them at Ridgefield WR. One had to be close to 30lbs. Anyone ever eat these? I hear they are excellent BBQ'd.

I never have, but I am curious as well. I saw an episode of Bizarre Foods awhile back that was down south, and one of the things he ate was nutria. He said is was pretty tasty...course this is also the same guy that eats things like baloot(sp?) so who knows. :dunno: If I can ever spot one in an area it would be legal to shoot them though I am willing to try eating them at least once.

I watched a show on the outdoor network about hunting Nutria in Louisiana. It looked like a blast and at the end of the hunt they have a chef cook them up. Everyone said they were delicious. Kinda taste like rabbit, only way more meaty.
