to me it seems everyone wants the wolves extinct im wondering if im getting the wrong idea personally i dont want them extinct but i am pissed that there is no managment system
-
Extinct? No.
Managed and confined to the larger wilderness areas. Yes.
Shoot on sight, aerial gunning, trapping, poisoning, and bounties anywhere outside said wilderness areas. Yes.
Kind of a loaded question though. Even if you were to remove every single wolf from the lower 48 they would still not be extinct. Not even endangered. Conservative estimates put 60k wolves just north of the border so there's no real threat to them becoming "extinct". Removed from a geographic location yes, but not extinct.

Any thing But what the huggers want!

No poisons or aerial shooting. That's cheap.

Poisons have to much collaterial damage. Thats why they banned 1080.

Managed, heavily managed. Some areas might seem like great wilderness to huggers, but there will be conflict after conflict after conflict.
-
I'd like to see them managed and relocated as necessary.
Specifically, I'd like to see very dense wolf populations managed in New York City and SanFrancisco with proportionately smaller populations as the general public of each area wishes.
Places that don't have room for wolves - like Idaho and Montana - should be able to make that decision for themselves.
-
neither. I would hope the species would never go extinct. But to washington its an invasive species so i believe they should be killed off here.
-
i would be okay with them not being extinct if they were managed here the same way the coyotes are...... open every day no bag limit, trapping also allowed. i think we would be able to keep them down to a reasonable level that way.
-
My problem with this whole issue is we rebuilt the elk, deer and bear populations without anti's.. I have done about 2 dozen work projects that did something for wildlife.. I have yet to see an anti on any of those events into the mountains with cement on their back or whatever we were doing to help animals.. Then they run their mouths that I am a killer.. I have done more both monetarily and physically for the animals than any of them.. I am done being quiet.. Quiet looses the battle. Everyone needs to get loud.. REAL LOUD... They are..
NO MORE :sry:

I'd like them extinct in WA. But like already said, that isn't going to happen. So, I'd settle for at least trying to kill them all (without the use of poison). There will always be some sneaking across from Canada and Idaho anyway.
-
Exterminating them is like Exterminating Coyotes!! Let me know how it works for ya.
-
Exactly. Treat them like coyotes. :bfg: :hunt2: :mgun2: :archery_smiley: :hunter:
-
Extinct in Wa. The only way it works here is too provide them with vast unpopulated areas to roam. 6 million + and growing pop with a desire for outdoor rec opps. Never going to work here.
-
Alaska and Canada, fine with me. Lower 48 HELL NO!
-
Of course you know this would be an awesome CNN poll. Phrase it;
"The new USDFW wolf introduction has saved a species from extinction. Hunters and groups like the RMEF are so extreme that they oppose programs to expand a wolf populations to create a "Natural Balanced Ecosystem."
Question, Do you support wolf extinction?
Reality, They were never endangered.
I support wolves in Seattle and New York City.
-
Kill them like roaches if we want our big game. Just my opinion.
-
Hunting and trapping alone could never manage them enough alone. sadly history has showed us it take poisen. Ill never support that even to remove this invasive destructive species. Cant wait till we can start removing them our selves!
-
I say extinct... The reason is WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD WOLVES IN WA! The wolves that are here now are not what have always been here. Just like all other kinds of invasive species these will wreck our eco system... If worked at making them extinct in WA the reality is they would just be heavily manged. :twocents:
