the last couple times I've been out my hands have gotten so cold that I could barely clip my release on if I wanted to. I need a slim fitting glove so that I can maintain feel and dexterity while bow hunting. Something that's waterproof and wind proof is a must. Cause lets face it, once your hands or feet get cold it's a game changer.
I've been looking into the Under Armour Ridge Reaper gloves but they say they're only weather resistant. some of the goretex gloves on the market are nice but too bulky for me. So, what do you guys recommend? Need a good pair within the next couple days so I can hunt my arse off the last couple days of late archery.

Maybe seal skinz?

Wool mittens under leather or or goretex. Check out OR

Try the old stand by; wool mittens or cloves. I normally use the fingerless wool on the west side. Very seldom have a cold problem. I also have a pair of glove I bought at Cabelas. They seam to work good. No cold problems yet.

We snowshoe in the cold and often ditch the gloves. Add a layer to your midsection, this helps keep your body temp up, your warm blood will flow more forcefully to your hands and feet. If your body is just a tad bit cool, it slows the blood flow to your extremities. To warm your hands, put on another layer to your midsection.

I barely wear gloves..I have hand warmers in pockets or very thin gloves..maybe look at KUIU glove

:yeah:
I almost never wear gloves. 3or 4 handwarmers in each pocket. I will wear a thin glove on my bow hand during the coldest days, and keep my release hand in my pocket. Even moving at a snails pace this works for me. :twocents:

I have a pair of early season thin gloves that are almost like a silk material. I use them strictly for camo on my hands. they provide no warmth. once they get wet and the wind starts to blow my hands freeze. I like the idea of camo on my hands so I'd like to be able to wear some gloves for late season. the under armour ridge reapers look good but I've read mixed reviews on their ability to keep you dry. anybody use them?

Or you could buy a pair of man hands...Oh wait you gotta earn those! :chuckle: :chuckle:

Umm...I've seen your hands dude. No competition to my meat hooks. ;)

I think I found a solution to the glove situation.
Enter the Kast Steelhead Glove!
100% waterproof, and wind proof. Fleece lined and slim fit for dexterity.
I went with these due to the amount of winter steelhead fishing I do so they should be a great dual purpose glove. should be real nice for rowing the drift boat in January, February, march on the rivers too. Because of the slim fit I still have great feel for the bow and can operate my release with ease. pumped to put them to the test this weekend for some long hours in the woods.
