I got two cards for Christmas, one is a Washington only map and the other is a NW map shows Idaho Oregon and washington. I was going to return one card and get something else but not sure which one to keep??? has anyone used these cards before and whats the difference between the two if any?
-
what are the scales of the maps. ie are they 100k or 24k maps or is one 100k and one 24k. 24k is going to show more detail than 100k
-
they are both 24K

Are they the huntwamontana maps? If so keep the state only, the other does not have owner parcel id.
-
yes they are the Montana mapping, is the owner ID the only difference and is that important?

That is probably the case although there used to be a Washington only version from Hunting GPS Maps without landowner names. Look up Hunting GPS Maps and give them a call. If both chips are theirs they can advise you.

Yes only the state specific has landowner id. info. The wa ore id doesnt. And yes it is valuable to know landowners info. Cant camp on weyco but can on state land. To know if you are on private property or public is valuable. Very neat to have this card. I love it.

Both versions will identify public vs. private land but only one may show you property owner information for the private land.

Thanks, doesn't the NW chip show the timber company land? And label the BLM and State? or does it just say public/private? that's where I'm a little confused.
