Post by: 206 on December 30, 2012, 08:33:03 AM
Is the west lake froze on the north side of i90 bridge?  Any people standing out on the ice like blue herons?

Yesterday it was mostly open. Got pretty cold last night and froze up. Had to break ice all the way to our hunt this morning. Moved a lot of birds to the moving water.

Moses Lake is 1/2-3/4 frozen, but why does that matter, can't hunt it.

And parts of this lake are starting to get ice on it. It's been chilly here the last week and supposed to stay cold.

Google Moses Lake.  They have the city limits outlined.  Shot many a bird on goat island in the nastiest conditions.

I'd dare to say that 75% of Moses Lake is legal to hunt. If you have a location that might be a different story. But, boat blind, options would be pretty unlimited. City Limits is a small piece of the lake.

Sure theres lakes Outside city limits. But alot of the smaller ones have/are frozen up. It's only been a hi of 33-35 and lows of 15-20 for about a week. I know the main body of Pot Holes is open, but when you get back into the ponds/dunes area their is pockets of ice building. Some I seen this weekend up to an inch thick along the shores.
