Got to the launch and hour or so before light, waited till we could see a bit and busted ice for the first half hour or so. Got the boat launched and rammed and busted our way through the rest of the ice to open water. There weren't a ton of birds, but really consistent. Picked up about 12:30 a couple short of a limit.

Wasn't too cold, low 30's, steady 15mph wind. Actually a pleasant late december eastside shoot

It was a great day and a fun shoot! I'm glad we didn't pull a Titanic while we busted thru the ice. :chuckle: Good luck this weekend!
