i don't have much money to spend on a call. i think i will buy a mouth call. so what one should i get if i want to hunt coyotes. and do you need to use different calls here on the west side :dunno:

I'm just getting started myself, but Ron at R&R game calls is a good dude who makes really nice calls for a fair price. I went over to his place to buy a few, and he gave me some great instruction. He is an advertiser on here as well as a member. Hope this helps.

:yeah:
Get in touch with Ric, RR Game calls.

Rick with RR makes the best calls out there IMO...But if you are on a serious budget, I know Walmart is selling some OK predator calls now at ~$10...

Most anything works, knowing coyotes are there, scent, wind, sneaking in and out setting up well and not moving, are the keys.

Rick has some very budget calls that sound very good. I would check out his website and call him needed, he is always happy to help.

I'd spend the extra $20 and get a call that is going to last. Rick makes great calls and they are very affordably priced IMO.
If you buy cheap garbage, you get cheap garbage. Save some money for an extra week or two and buy one of Rick's calls and you be a lot happier. :twocents:

Heck, if you're really cheap you can just get an elk mouth call. I'm two for two calling in coyotes that I spotted out in units. Just started squealing on the cow call. Both were during bow season though and I didn't shoot either one. Doubt if I could have got drawn anyways, but neat to call them right in!

I totally agree with this statement... I was just throwing the option out there... While I would much rather have one or two good calls then 5 cheap ones, some people aren't that way. Also, not many people know that Walmart got into selling predator gear this fall.

If u don't have a lot of money and want something cheap that works I would personally recommend the primos little dogg set the green one is super easy to use and with a little practice the white one is great for howling

Rick @ RR Calls , Great guy, Great service. He is also a member here. He has a banner at the top of the page. His screen name is bearmanric, send him a PM, or if your from the eastside. He will be at the coyote tournament next weekend . I'm sure he will have a few calls with him, that he will be selling.
My advice, pic up 3. Open, closed & howler.
-
bearmanric's RR1 or Tony Tebbe's overdose are my favorite hand calls. Both produce well.
-
PM sent your way Raydog.

Is Tony Tebbe's the guy that does the dogging coyotes stuff? It sounds like I have heard that name before. I think he has TT game calls so I am guessing that's the guy. I watched some of those videos and liked the sound of his calls.

Yes thats Tony.Rick

Cool, yeah I loved his dog hunting videos.
