I'm afraid what we all have been fearing for years is at hand. The "new" talk of gun bans has picked up more and more speed and I'm afraid we are headed for a slippery slope. Soon they will be banning so called "Assult Weapons" next will be pistols or full on gun registration. it may not happen right away but I give it less than a year before its knocking on our doors. My question is, is it time to go invisible? Hears what I mean by Invisible: Removing all pictures of hunting or other sport shooting from web sites, not renewing memberships for front site, NRA (although anonymous donations would stay) or even not renewing CPL's (look at New York and their news paper that posted the address of people who had them). I myself am considering this, is anyone else?

Good topic, I sold all mine. :-X

You can delete it, but I have always heard: "once its on the web, its there forever."

I say they will not disarms us, we are powerfull, as far as the the concealed permits and the maps they published, I'm glad they know i have guns in the house!!

I'm somewhat glad I had my boating accident last year off the coast and lost all my guns to the depths below. I thought it was horrible losing every single one of them then, but now am somewhat glad since i dont have to worry about the government taking them from me. I would much rather some diver find them in 100 years and think he has a treasure.

no screw that, i own guns, i have a right to own guns, i will not hide it like a criminal

:yeah: I was with him and all mine were lost to. Too bad the gps went to so we couldn't tell where exactly it happened. I am just glad you were ok.

Sure glad I'm a bowhunter! My longbows would float.

I was in the other boat you guys crashed into, with all of my firearms. Damned shame that your hull crushed my GPS during the accident.

Exactly. If they want them they can come and get them I'm not going to pretend I'm something I'm not.

I'm pretty sure my ex-wife got posession of them when we split. You should go talk to her and her boyfriend about them.

I was the one that towed you guys back to shore. I don't use GPS due to my awesome sense of direction. However I had to much to drink that day.
Sure glad I'm a bowhunter! My longbows would float.
Me too. You might check next door at my neighbors though. :chuckle:

And when I came to drag your drunk keester home, some punk hooligans broke into our house and stole all our guns, witnesses say they were middle aged, wearing jeans and a t-shirt, medium height, medium build, driving a late model sedan

how you gona do that throw out the computer and all your cell phones thats just about the only way to do that successfully.
one thing i say is to get rid of facebook i see that being the only way to reply to forums now days unless you mail them to let you reply without it but don't count on it. I think your right though were heading down a road of no return now. this times different too.

Stand your ground. Do not cave in to the media's bias. Let them know you are ready for a fight, politically, or otherwise...

Obviously once its on the internet you couldn't get rid of all of it but you can certainly make your footprint smaller. The CPL thing that happend in New York is what really got me thinking about this. They used the "freedom of information act" to get the names and addresses of Gun Permit holders and actually PUBLISHED them in the news paper with a freaking map! granted there has been alot of backlash because of it but it got me thinking that it could just has easily be done here and to us. just another for of gun registration as I'm starting to see it.

I wonder how many of us have written our representatives about the travesty committed by the Journal News in New York (I did immediately). What they did, and continue to try to do is wrong. They are vilifying and demonizing law-abiding citizens that have legal firearm permits. They are a lynch mob on a witch hunt. If we let this type of abusive behavior continue, what’s next?
Write all of your state and national representatives and tell them that this abuse of the Freedom of Information Act must stop. You must let your representatives hear your voice. If all you do is complain in this forum and to your family and friends, it does no good unless all of you contact your representatives about this. You can contact all of your representatives in just a few minutes by using the NRA-ILA write-your-reps tool. Take a few minutes of your time to make a huge difference in protecting our rights, freedoms, and privacy.

Please pass it on!

I'm tired of being made to feel that i need to keep a low profile and being made to defend myself everytime a wackjob does something horrible. I am not even able to mourn with the rest of the Nation, because i am under attack and have to defend myself.
I'm tired of the NRA keeping a low profile, i want them to attack attack attack, I want them to make the media and the left defend themselves, simply by demanding accountability, by demanding tougher gun laws like they used to, by demanding longer and weapons enhanced prison sentencing, by putting the spotlight on the left for defending the privacy of nut jobs and not having them placed on a cannot buy list, just as some guy who beats his wife, is. If you look at most of the violence in this Country maybe 90 percent of it or more, it comes from the left. they perpetrate and enable crime, yet people right thinking as myself are held to blame for these crimes by the very people who enable it.
