Man I just can't wait to draw a bull tag. 12 years and no luck on the draw for me. I am beginning to wonder if I should switch to Archery to have better draw odds. While archery hunting for deer this weekend I had two big bulls that would be down if I had a tag, and heard numerous bulls bugling. Only saw maybe 5 rigs all weekend. I currently rifle hunt for elk in the blues with family, I just started archery hunting for deer a couple of years ago. It's amazing how much more you see when you have to hunt slow and hunt the wind. For all you guys lucky enough to draw tags, good luck and shoot straight.

10 years here in wa. 10 in idaho, 3 in nevada and 6 in wyoming. not one draw. in fact never drawn a trophy tag for any big game animal ever..... wow, i just got really depressed.... :'(

at 12 years in i wouldn't switch at this point. you should draw soon if a rifle tag is what you want.
just curious...why don't you hunt archery elk if you hunt archery deer?
family hunting? if so i can understand that.

I can relate. I was down this weekend "looking" for bears. Saw lots of elk, and all the bugling adds to the experiance. Even when rifle hunting I see more big bulls than spikes. :bash:

hang tight! you will get that tag. i just got one this year for the wenaha unit (east). i have 4 weeks of agony before i can get in there. its driving me nuts. Im starting to think that its not worth it. I have become not very efficient at work either. This web site doesn't help a whole lot.

I am going nuts here at work as well. I have less than 10 days before I leave for my BC moose hunt. IT's gonna make up for not drawing a bull tag. I sure wish I could have let a arrow fly on the big guys I saw last weekend. My buddy went back today to see if he could stick a lonely spike or a cow. I think I will stick with putting in for the rifle tag and in the mean time I will start applying for Utah, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho for elk. One way or another I'm gonna get a chance to hunt a big boy.
