I get what they are saying but come on guys! Not the smartest way to go about it.

Idiots! Time and place and they chose very poorly. I know we are going to get a ton of comments on this.....again.....and I'll say again....the exercising of ANY right when done in an intentional inflammatory manner does nothing for the "cause" or right being exercised.

Completely agree.

They were exercising a right. Open carry, completely legal. The problem I see is a whole bunch of idiots freaked out, shut down a school and clogged up the police's phone lines.
If people aren't going to exercise their rights or are worried about what others think, than maybe would should give them up now. Don't see or anyone here saying we should all quit hunting a that gets bad press all the time from people shooting people bears.
They way I see it, this is good.
Some people called the cops and saw nothing happen, because no laws where broken. Some people were actually told by cops that it was legal. People saw people carrying firearms and no one was shot. Some anti gun people looked like the idiots they are.
The fact that the reporter called it an assualt rifle pretty much screams biased.

everyone on here is pro guns and then the second someone exercises their right your all for,
you tear them a new one! we are our own worst enemy!

I'm sorry, but I don't see anything wrong with this. If anything they brought attention to the typical liberal overreaction that happens anytime someone exercises their constitutional right. We shouldn't be crucifying these guys we should be commending them for showing people that this is nothing to be afraid of.

ya really ive had to move my gun from back of my pickup to the front when hunting so I could lock it and feared doing so because I knew the anti gun hysteria crap. people shouldn't automaticly think that a gun in public always means shooter.
