My dad and uncle just got back from a DIY fly fishing trip from Kodiak, AK. This is the second year he has gone. I'm going to try to go with him one of these years. Here's just one pic that I thought was pretty cool. They ended up with some pretty big silvers.

Man I miss fishing for silvers in AK! We use to get into schools of them out in the bays in and have them swarm our lures like piranhas. It is pretty tough to beat reeling in one 8-16 lber after another as fast as you can haul them in.

Yeah it sounds pretty nuts. As fast as they could flip out there flies, they'd get a strike. Lose a lot of fish too.
